wellness inc teams up with canadian sport 4 life!

Wellness inc teamed up with Canadian Sport 4 Life to develop and implement inclass physical literacy breaks twice daily for grades one through three in Nova Scotia.  This innovative project was designed to increase the daily physical activity levels in children.  Research tells us that our children and youth are failing to achieve the recommended levels of daily physical activity, getting the heart pumping and the blood flowing!  And not surprisingly, our kids are sedentary, they are sitting more throughout the day.  B2: Body Brain breaks gives both students and teachers the opportunity to get their bodies moving each morning and afternoon during class time.

The success of the physical literacy breaks is catching on and is now available for implementation at schools grades primary through twelve.   Interested in improving classroom behaviours and academic scores and happier students who are more engaged?  Contact us to discuss bring physical literacy breaks to your school!

we had an idea...

we had an idea...a good one!

The idea is simple:  If we know our children are less active, increasingly overweight, declining academically and exhibiting signs of mental unwellness, why not increase the amount of physical activity in their day?

And so, we developed,

Physical Literacy Activity Break Tool

This unique program was developed by innovators in the field of physical literacy and physical activity at Canada Sport 4 Life, Sport Nova Scotia, the Nova Scotia Department of Health and Wellness, the Annapolis Valley Regional School Board, NS under the leadership and vision of Carrie Schell.
